In earning this honor he received the same medal that any UIL athlete earns when winning a state championship. Christian is the state champion trumpet player. Academic
The ECISD High School Summer School will be housed at ENHS this summer. Summer programs include credit recovery, acceleration, and concurrent enrollment possibilities. Please contact your child's counselor for information. For the last seven months 24 Edinburg North students have worked hard to get certified as 911 dispatchers through the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch. The national center called Mrs. Murillo to tell her how impressed they were with the student scores because for the most part students do not pass their exam. In addition, these students passed the exam with honor distinction: Noel, Isaac, Fermin, Laura, and Carolina. Our students received their national certificates which allow them to seek employment at any 911 call center. Congratulations to all of them and their teacher, Mrs. Murillo.Nine Edinburg North Students qualified to take the State Exam for Certified Nurse Assistants and passed.These students are ready to work as a CNA.Congratulations Nayeli, Nallely, Jennifer, Lorena, Isadora, Rosa, Stephanie, Elia, Kassandra, and Mrs. Flores. ENHS has 22 students that have reached the “Million Words Read Distinction”.Congratulations students and staff for the exciting accomplishment.

Congratulations to the Literary Criticism Team who placed 2nd in the State! We also want to congratulate the following students for placing at the UIL State meet: Rene Castro placed 6th in Number Sense, Alex Cantu placed 6th in Social Studies, Valeria Silva placed 4th in Literary Criticism. We are proud of these students as well as the other UIL Academic team members for an outstanding 2009-2010 year!
The Awards Assemblies for each class are scheduled for May 20, 2010 followed by the Senior Scholarship Assembly in the evening. All assemblies will be held in the ENHS Main Gym.

Commencement xxercises for Edinburg North High School will be held on Sunday, June 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the McAllen Convention Center. The change was necessary due to renovation work being done to the UTPA Fieldhouse.
