Academic
Deadline for grades to impact Progress Reports is Friday, Sept. 10. Progress Reports will be mailed out the following week. Parents, please get connected by signing up for Gradespeed Access.
Tutoring for the Oct. administration of PSAT is underway. There are after school sessions as well as Saturday sessions.
Saturday Credit Recovery program will begin on Sept. 11. Please contact your child's counselor if you think they might qualify.
College Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the UTPA Annex Building (Old Wal-Mart Building on South Closner Blvd.).This event is open to Edinburg CISD freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.There will be over 75 representatives from local, state and out-of-state institutions and programs.Students and parents can meet and greet with vocational and technical schools, colleges, universities, and scholarship representatives. Please promote to all of your students!
Athletics
The Mighty Cougars travel to Donna to take on the Redskins Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Join the fun and support the Mighty Cougars!
The Lady Cougars play their final preseason game Tuesday against Lyford at home. District play begins Saturday as they travel to play against the Pharr Bears.
The Lady Cougar Varsity Volleyball competed at the Alice Tournament this weekend.The Lady Cougars defeated Edcouch-Elsa, Kingsville Academy, and Freer to win the tournament.Abby Garza and Aleena Cubriel were named to the All-Tournament Team and Christy Brandt was named MVP of the tournament. Congratulations to the girls and coaches.
Extra Curricular
Christian Rangel has been named OUTSTANDING PERFORMER on trumpet for the 2009-2010 school year. In earning this honor he received the same medal that any UIL athlete earns when winning a state championship. Christian is the state champion trumpet player. Congratulation to Christian, his music teachers, and parents.
The Awards Assemblies for each class are scheduled for May 20, 2010 followed by the Senior Scholarship Assembly in the evening. All assemblies will be held in the ENHS Main Gym.

Commencement xxercises for Edinburg North High School will be held on Sunday, June 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the McAllen Convention Center. The change was necessary due to renovation work being done to the UTPA Fieldhouse.
