Congratulations to the Mighty Cougar Band for their outstanding performance at Pigskin!  They received a division one rating and will be playing in the Area Competition in San Antonio this weekend.  Good Luck!! 


The ENHS Theatre Production Group is presenting an Improv Comedy Show Friday, Oct. 24 at 7:00 at the PAC.  Come enjoy a few laughs!


 

Congratulations to the Lady Cougars on the win against Weslaco!  They are now 29-11 and 9-1 in district play!


Congratulations to the Number Sense team placing 1st with a team score of 1108 which is the highest score ever scored by an ENHS Number Sense team and we’ve had some great teams! Javier Garcia earned a perfect 400! Calculator team also earned 1st place and Math earned 2nd place. Great weekend UIL!


 

FOX RIO 2 / Chevy Valley Dealers "Battle of the Bands"

The ENHS Band is once again competing for our 3rd "Battle of the Bands" Title. www.foxrio2.com/bands You can vote everyday.


We will be having ENHS Senior EOC Parent meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the Library.


 

Congratulations to our Cross Country teams!  Each of the teams placed second in their respective divisions and will be running at Regionals in two weeks!  Good Luck to our runners!!


 

The swimming and diving teams competed in Weslaco. Congratulations to Jerry Silva and Adrian Nacianceno who placed 2nd and 5th placed respectively during Friday’s Diving Contest. Saturday, the Boys placed 8th and the Girls placed 3rd at the Swim Meet. Way to go!


 

The ENHS Tennis team earned a trip to the playoffs after defeating Economedes! Good luck Tennis!


On Saturday, Sept. 27, students auditioned for the first 2 rounds of the All-State Choir Audition process.  Members of the Region choir will audition for the Pre-Area round in November.  Congratulations to these young musicians and we wish the best for those that are advancing to the next stage. The District/Region results are as follows:

Congratulations Cougar Nation! TEA recognized our campus as meeting standards on all areas. In addition, we earned 6 out of 6 Distinction Designations when compared to other schools in our demographic group. We are very proud of everyone's contribution to academic excellence at Edinburg North.

Congratulations to the students and staff that participated in the Advanced Placement testing in Spring 2014! We had 305 students pass at least one AP test and 62 students earned AP Scholar honors! Great job!!

Saturday classes will take place from 8:00-12:00.  Breakfast will be provided.  The focus of instruction will be EOC: English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and US History. Students requiring retesting in December should attend these sessions.  If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Moran at 289-2500.

ECISD Fine Arts Department is hosting a marching band pre-uil show for the community on Tuesday, September 30.  The event will start at 6:30 and feature all 4 ECISD Marching.  ENhS has drawn last and will perform around 8pm
