ENHS will have 4 TMEA All-State students this year. These students will represent the best in Texas February 8-12 at the Annual Music Educator's All-State Clinic & Convention.
Mac Guajardo placed 3rd chair in trumpet at the Area Auditions Saturday in Alice. Once Mac arrives to San Antonio, he will audition for his performing ensemble- Concert/Symphonic Band or Philharmonic/Symphony Orchestra. ENHS Choir had 2 students that were also selected. Arianna Arango, Junior was 2nd chair in the Alto 2 section and will perform with the All-State Mixed Chorus. Lydia Flores, Junior was 6th chair in the Alto 1 section and will perform with the Women's Chorus. These 3 join Christian Montemayor who will be performing with the All-State Jazz Band. Saturday School will resume this weekend, Jan. 21st in the 300 hallway. We will be having transportation for Saturday Tutorials this semester. Parents, be advised. Many students are crossing Business 281/Closner after school to buy snacks. This street is a dangerous 35 mph school zone. Please talk to your children and advise them that there is a safe crosswalk at the corner of Rogers and 281 which they should use when crossing the street.

Due to TEXES testing on campus, Saturday School will be relocated to the 400 and 500 hallways on Jan. 28th. We will be having transportation for Saturday Tutorials this semester. If you have a student that will be needing transportation, please contact Mrs. Moran, Tutorial Facilitator.
Review sessions will be held for the AP Spanish Language test will begin February 2nd from 4-6 p.m. in Room 217. Sessions will be held every Thursday afternoon throughout the Spring Semester.
Students interested in attending University of Texas at Austin, should be aware that the University has determined that it will admit all eligible 2013 summer/fall applicants who rank within the top 8% of their graduating classes, with remaining spaces to be filled through holistic review.

Good luck to the ENHS Mariachi Oro as they travel to San Antonio to compete in the state Mariachi contest being held in the Edgewood ISD Theatre for the Performing Arts. Mariachi Oro will perform at 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 28.

Here are the UIL Results for Invitational A meet at Edcouch Elsa: Saturday, January 14th. 1st Place Teams: Literary Criticism (highest team score ever: 225) , Math, and Computer Science. Individual James Sanchez received 1st in Journalism Feature Writing. Individual Kathy Cantu received 2nd in Persuasive Speaking. 2nd Place Teams: Science (Top Physics), Number Sense, and Social Studies.
