Attendance in class is very important to student success.  Please ensure that your child attends class every day.  This includes be on time to class.  1st period class begins at 8:30 which means students should be in class ready to learn by this time. 


The Financial Aid Office will hold a FAFSA informational meeting on Wednesday for senior parents & students on January 14 the from 6-7:30pm at the ENHS PAC in both English and Spanish. University reps will be on hand to discuss what is needed and how to submit the FAFSA.


Mr. Micallef will hold a mandatory dinner meeting with the Seniors who still need to complete the EOC graduation requirement. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 6:00 in the library for students, parents, and teachers of these students.  The agenda will include graduation requirements and college ready information.


 

Report Cards for the First Semester will go out this week.  Begin checking the mail on Tuesday.


 

The UIL Academic teams competed at Edcouch Elsa this weekend.  The Math, Number Sense, Calculator, Social Studies, and Current Events teams earned 1st place team trophies. Congratulations to all students participating!


Congratulations to the Area band students that competed for a spot in the All-State Band.  Adrian Leal, Renee Champion, David Sanchez, Kevin Hernandez, & Geronimo Garcia all competed.  Blake Hernandez, Sr., placed 1st and will be a member of the 2015 Texas Music Educator's Assoc. All-State Band.


The Lady Cougar Soccer Team went 4-1-1 in the Laredo Tournament.  They captured 2nd place losing to Harlingen South 1-0 in the Championship. Congratulations to the Lady Cougars!!

Saturday classes will take place from 8:00-12:00.  Breakfast will be provided.  The focus of instruction will be EOC: English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and US History. Saturday school will resume on January 24th.  Transportation will be provided.
