State Mandated English I EOC will be administered on Monday, March 30 and English II EOC will be administered on Wednesday, April 1.  The test will begin first thing in the morning so students need to arrive to school and be in the testing room by 8:30. 


Attendance matters!  Students need to be in school every day so they can learn.


The ENHS UIL Academic Team participated in the District Meet.  1st place team finishes: Computer Science, Number Sense, Math, Calculator, Science, Literary Criticism, Spelling, Social Studies, Poetry. 3rd place finishes:  Current Events and Accounting and Sweepstakes!  In addition, Number Sense, Math, and Calculator swept the 1st -4th place individual awards!  31-6A District Champs!!!


 Due to Easter Break, there will be no Saturday School on April 4.  We will resume on April 11 with Algebra I and US History Tutorials, LEP Academy, and Credit Recovery.


The Golden Spurs will host a Spirit Night at Bar B Cuties on Wednesday, April 1st.  A portion of what we spend will be donated to the Golden Spurs.  Come out and support our girls.


Our Varsity Guard participated in the TECA 2015 Scholastic A championships where they earned 1st place.   So proud of their accomplishment!  Next stop, World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.


 

Saturday classes will resume on April 11 from 8:00-12:00.  Breakfast will be provided.  The focus of instruction will be EOC: Algebra I and US History.  Transportation will be provided.


 

STC will be here on 4/10/15 to help register you for college classes beginning in either Summer or Fall 2015.  In order to participate, you must stop by the Financial Aid Office to register.   You cannot get advised or register for classes if you do not sign-up by 4/6/15 (Monday).


 

Mrs. Ovalle will be delivering scholarships by noon of deadline day.  Please make sure you drop them off with plenty of time at the Financial Aid Office; otherwise you are responsible for mailing items.


 

Have you mailed proof of your meningitis vaccine or TSI scores to the college(s) of choice?  If not, stop by the Financial Aid Office to complete this process.


 

Financial Aid Award packages should be arriving in April only if you do not have outstanding items with the university.  Please make sure they have necessary documents from you.


 

Juniors: The last ACT/SAT test dates are fast approaching.  If you have NOT yet signed up to test, please do so because it will impact you your senior year 


 

The Lady Cougar Soccer Team went 4-1-1 in the Laredo Tournament.  They captured 2nd place losing to Harlingen South 1-0 in the Championship. Congratulations to the Lady Cougars!!


 

The UIL Academic teams competed at Edcouch Elsa this weekend.  The Math, Number Sense, Calculator, Social Studies, and Current Events teams earned 1st place team trophies. Other results had not been submitted at time of publication. Congratulations to all students participating!


Congratulations to the Area band students that competed for a spot in the All-State Band.  Adrian Leal, Renee Champion, David Sanchez, Kevin Hernandez, & Geronimo Garcia all competed.  Blake Hernandez, Sr., placed 1st and will be a member of the 2015 Texas Music Educator's Assoc. All-State Band.
