The Wind Ensemble, Varsity Band received straight 1's at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest and the 21st Sweepstakes Award in the schools history. The Honor Band, Non-Varsity group, directed by Mr. Ledezma, received 1's in Concert & Sight Reading Contest!
Edinburg North JROTC High School Student Angelo Corona, Wins Award at 9th Annual Way to Happiness JROTC Scholarship Competition. Students were acknowledged and awarded for their community projects that incorporated The Way to Happiness precepts and JROTC Core Values.
The Indoor Winds completed their first season as the TECA Scholastic A Winds Champions. The first time in the history of the circuit!
The District Autism Awareness Fair is set for April 19 from 5:30-7:30 in the ECISD Board Room. Games, Activities, Agency information, and door prizes will be available.

Congratulations to the ENHS UIL Academic Team on the fifth straight District Championship! 8 teams earned 1st place finishes and qualified for the Regional Meet in San Antonio: Literary Criticism, Spelling, Computer Science, Social Studies, Science, Math, Calculator Applications, and Number Sense. We also have several individuals who earned opportunities to compete at the Regional Tournament! We are very proud of these students and coaches!
Congratulations to the ENHS Winter Guard & Jessica Savino for their 3rd consecutive TECA Circuit Championship. They compete in the highest classification and continue to set the bar as the best winter guard in all of south Texas!
We have a few Saturdays left before the May EOC test administrations. We have sessions for Algebra I, Biology, and US History. We encourage students to attend from 8-12. Breakfast and transportation available.
Thirty ENHS Math students participated in a math test competition back in February. We have several students that have been invited to an Awards Ceremony this weekend. Congratulations to Diego Perez (10th -- 2nd place), Anthony Hernandez, Rebeca Labra, Juan Garcia (12th – 1st place), Javier Garcia (12th – 2nd place) , Christian Gaitin. Additionally, the top 3 12th grade scores make up a team score. Our 12th grade team earned 1st place. Congratulations!!
Attendance matters! Please make sure your son or daughter is in school every day. Our attendance percentages went up slightly this week; however, we did not meet our goal. Let's ensure that all students are in class every day.
